Belle reached the $1 million mark at U.S. Box-office gross!

Penelope Wilton's current period drama movie Belle (currently at #13 in specialty box-office) is doing very well at the U.S. Box Office with film critics (and audiences) rave reviews (certified fresh at 82% in Rotten Tomatoes), where it started off in select cities (New York & LA), then in limited release (where the film adds more screens weekly), just reached (and now surpassed) the $1 million mark domestic box-office gross ($1.8 million) this past weekend. Hopefully, Fox Searchlight will add even more cities/theater count for those of us who are still waiting and haven't seen this movie. I know I've been looking forward to seeing this film since last year and I haven't seen it yet as it's still not added in my local theater. Hoping more cities (including mine) will be added this Memorial weekend.

UPDATE: Great news! According to Belle's official Facebook page...
Belle opens nationwide this Friday! See Amma Asante's acclaimed period drama near you: http://www.movietickets.com/movie/mid/167614
